The Interwaste calendar is an annual labour of love for us. A lot of thought and research informs the design and copy - and we are always as thrilled as our client with the result. This 2022 calendar encourages people to see the year as a fresh beginning that enables them to move past a difficult period.

Each month has a theme, an information section relating to the theme, an interactive section, a digital link to the website (a blog then opens with family activity suggestions), as well as a section dedicated to important days and weekly gratitude challenges.

In addition to the monthly elements, we included a game for kids and celebrated our country's cultural diversity by dedicating the back of each page to bold patterns representing the 11 official languages of South Africa, with the 12th page showing the South African flag. These removable pages could be repurposed as gift wrap, book covers or place mats.
